Children are a real challenge to draw IMO. They look very soft and sweet and have less characteristic anatomy than an adult. No creases, no edges, only soft shadows and you have to be careful with those or they look ill or unnatural. So for me working with lots of shades and shadows I had to figure out how to use them without adding too much.
Here are my best ones and my first child portrait.
My first child art at the age of 16. The haunting look got me. :)
Charcoal, 11x14 inches.

I haven´t seriously drawn horses very much in my life, although I´m a horsemanship trainer and a rider since childhood days. It´s funny, that I don´t have the need to draw things, which surround me on a daily basis.
Here is what I did.
I made this sketch of an Arabian stallion in 2002, when I was waiting for someone and the only thing I had was a biro. LOL. This is why it was never finished.

Dogs also make beautiful models. They often look into the camera and for me it appears, as if they would look right into your soul.
I have more dogs, but together with their owners and they will appear in an extra post for that reason.

Here are some of my cat portraits. They are all in charcoal. People always ask me, what technique I would suggest and I think, for animals and children black & white works best. They are sweet enough, they don´t need colour. LOL. This is just my opinion. And I´m glad, people always trust me with my choice and are more than happy in the end. :)

This is the place to showcase my original artwork from the past until today.
I began to draw faces seriously very early - at the age of 12 - and taught myself most of it.
Later I went to art school for commercial art and could enhance techniques and gain professionality in my work.
My passion is fandom art, but I´m also doing non-fandom commissions for people who ask me to portray their relatives or animals. Besides that I´m working on other art projects, which will take years before being published.
From time to time I will post examples of my work here on this site. So stay tuned!
If you have any requests, feel free to contact me via pm.
And now I wish you a nice time on my site! :)
